Exactly 135 days after Russell Martin's first press conference as the club's head coach, successor the German coach faced reporters at Ibrox for the initial occasion.
The scale of the task ahead of him is well known, given Martin's chaotic and disappointing 123-day spell.

Rohl's Primary Focus - Victory Comes First

The previous manager Russell Martin lasted only 17 matches and four months as manager, so the inquiry arose about how long Rohl believes is realistic to turn around the underperforming squad.
Although deftly avoiding a specific response that might create future pressure, Rohl's communication was quite clear.
"Hopefully very quickly," he stated. "This is essential.
"In this business you have limited time. One can talk about long-term vision but we know it's about the short-term and the short-term is about securing victories. That is what I demand.
"Another aspect remains clear - I require every squad member to comprehend how we want to play. I come back to my main theme: victory comes first, it's attractive and unity. If you follow this order, I believe that I will remain for years at the club."

"In my opinion expectations in football are standard," he commented. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I think certain individuals might mention my youth but I have been 16 years on this path. I experienced an excellent opportunity to work with the German club and serve as just the assistant coach, but I experienced the reality to manage a team and the demands involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people claim you need to produce entertaining football. That's the next stage but that's exactly my intention. I relish that challenge and I look forward for what's ahead."
