Cars in German Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a man who noticed a vehicle in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Officers report they were contacted late on Wednesday, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a swastika, they reported.

Police then located many other marked automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation banning the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police state early analysis show the substance was probably blood from a person.

"There is still no clue as to its source; authorities are currently not aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they commented.

Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the public for details.

A senior official stated the incident made him speechless and needed to be resolved quickly.

"This event strikes at the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on online, referring to the death of nine victims by a shooter targeting individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
